46 hours in Boulder for Work Travel
I just returned home from an awesome work trip to Boulder, Colorado. It is one of my favorite places to visit and the conference I attend there is one of the best for my industry. I always try and make my work travel more enjoyable by adding in a few extra special adventures. These are the special moments I enjoyed in Boulder. 1. Relaxing at the hotel- I got so, so lucky this work trip that the conference I attended had a discounted rate at the St. Julien hotel. This is one of the most luxurious hotels in Boulder and is walking distance from pretty much everything. Typically on a work trip I avoid staying in the hotel for too long, but this experience was so lovely that I enjoyed many of the hotels amenities, such as room service, the pool and the lobby fireplace.
2. Walking around Pearl Street- Typically I always wake up early on a work trip to get a few uninterrupted hours of work complete. But Boulder was so beautiful and sunny that after I finished my work, I walked around the city. I was very close to Pearl Street, which is a great walking area with Boulder shops. I enjoyed shopping at Prana, Patagonia and an amazing little tea store.
3. Sampling the cuisine- I always take charge of planning my dinners on a work trip so that I can pick a fun new place to try. This time I made a reservation at Amu, a new Japanese restaurant in Boulder. I also planned a happy hour with my clients and a breakfast meeting at The Buff.
It snowed a little on our first day in Boulder, but was sunny and beautiful the rest of time. Thanks for a great work and play trip, Boulder!
