Making the most of wedding travel

If you are a young professional, you likely have a TON of weddings to attend. This can often get in the way of planning personal and work travel. I always try to make the most of my wedding travel since it's not only important for me to see my friends, but it's always a priority of mine to explore the world! In a few weekends I am heading to Chicago (brrr!!!) for a dear friend's wedding. Even though it won't be as warm as the last time I visited Chicago. I do have a couple of fun items on my agenda.

1. Visit my Cousin: I mentioned in my last blog post that visiting with my family while I travel was a big priority for this year. Luckily, my cousin lives in Chicago and I'll be visiting him during my trip.

2. Try New Restaurants: I couldn't leave Chicago without trying a fun new restaurant. In fact, my cousin is taking us out to eat on Saturday during the day, so I'll kill two birds with one stone.

3. Walk Around the City: I KNOW it is going to be freezing, but I have a warm jacket and warm boots and I'm going to try and walk around the city a bit. It may be shortened, but I'll do my best to get out.

4. Working: The work of a small business owner never stops :) And since I am leaving on Friday to prevent any weather delays in my travels, I'll be spending most of the day working. Sometimes just working in another city is a nice change of pace.

Do you have any other tips for making the most of wedding travel?
