Playing Tourist in Austin

It isn't often that I get to play tourist in my home city of Austin! This past weekend I had friends in town and it was so fun to act like I don't live here! The weather wasn't great, but we managed to enjoy a few activities. Here is what we did: Driftwood- Driftwood is a great little city with beautiful views and wineries. We visited Twisted X Brewery, Duchman Winery and Driftwood Estates! The wines and beers were really good and the views can not be beat. Once you are out in Driftwood, you'll want to try Salt Lick BBQ! We ate more than I can ever remember eating.

Lake Austin and Town Lake- We had plans to take a boat out on Lake Austin, but the weather did not agree with our plans. Instead we decided to eat lunch at Hula Hut and enjoy the lake views! We then headed over to Town Lake and tried stand up paddle boarding. This was so fun and really a great workout.

Austin Hotspots- We hit up a few Austin regular tourist spots as well, such as South Congress, the UT campus, the coop and downtown. Despite the weather we walked around and enjoyed breakfast tacos, queso and more!

It's so fun to play tourist in my favorite city on earth and the one I am lucky enough to call home!
